7OTB Blog Graphic 23

Nobody could find a full house this weekend so there won't be a 7OTB millionaire this Christmas. It was a tough week with Man City and Chelsea both falling short, leaving three players with 0 points and one player on -1, which is a feat in itself!

Kezp was the best player in the country with 25 points taking home the top prize, while Gooner Haters won the weekly team competition with 75 points. We still have 8 players out in the lead in the race for the end of season £1,000 cash prize, with no changes from last week:

Ledley King's Talking Points

Spurs delivered a statement at Goodison Park on Sunday with a 6-2 demolition of Everton. Kane and Son were the stars of the show as they inflicted the heaviest defeat of Marco Silva’s Everton reign to move within two points of Man City. People can speculate about Poch's future all they want, right now he and his players are focused on nothing but the title race.

Man City fell short against Crystal Palace thanks in part to a sensational goal from Andros Townsend. City looked like they lacked their creative spark with the absence of David Silva, owing to how much of an important figure the Spaniard is in the reigning champions' setup.

United were off to a winning start under Solskjaer with a 5-1 drubbing of Cardiff. United had put the game to bed by half-time with a performance inspired by the recalled Paul Pogba, who had a say in all three first-half goals.

Virgil Van Dijk showed that he is every bit as influential as Mo Salah for Klopp's Liverpool, with another commanding performance on Friday night. The Dutchman is growing into one of the best defenders in the world right now and will play a key part in Liverpool's success while he is at the club.

Leeds are the Championship's Christmas number one after a thrilling comeback against Villa. Bielsa's side were two goals down at half-time, but came back to snatch victory in the fifth minute of stoppage time and return to the top of the table.

Dwight Gayle's hat-trick extended West Brom’s unbeaten run to seven games, in a 4-0 win over Rotherham. The result means the Baggies remain within touching distance of automatic promotion.

Portsmouth improved their position at the top of League One as the biggest crowd at Fratton Park since 2011 watched the home side prevail as 3-1 winners against third-placed Sunderland.
